While Beyoncé enjoys her multi-billion-dollar music empire, Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland is receiving her fair share of attention in the new sensual thriller Mea Culpa, which debuted on Netflix today. Specifically, she’s receiving a lot of attention from the muscular Trevante Rhodes, who plays the role of the alluring artist who lures Rowland into his sinful lair. The sex between those two is absolutely out of this world, and it’s all over the floor, smeared in paint.

Rowland plays the role of Mea Harper in Perry’s Mea Culpa, a criminal defense attorney who takes on the case of defending her new client, Zyair Malloy (Rhodes), who is facing murder accusations. He’s an artist who denies killing his fiancée, despite the accusations against him. You have to admit, his arms are convincing. Mea piques Zyair’s interest from the get-go. In his loft, he continues to work on the case while insistently listening to an R&B album that sets the mood. He finally admits to Mea that she’s attractive. When I saw you, you aroused me. I love the way you feel, so I embrace you whenever I see you. Ah, I see.

Mea fights off his attempts at first. She should probably not have sexual relations with her clients, regardless of whether he did not brutally kill his partner. However, Zyair remains resolute. Along with her, he visits a sex club. He daringly locks eyes with Mea and grins as another woman sucks him off; he then presses the button for her lift. My darling, keep going.

Soon after, a friend of Mea’s who works as a private investigator contacts her to inform her that her husband—yes, she is married!—was observed entering a hotel room with another lady. Just like that, Mea is given the green light to return to her bohemian flat and ride Zyair with abandon.

The anonymous woman with whom Zyair was having sexual relations was promptly banished from his life. He begins to make out with Mea while she is still wearing her clothes, but he is entirely naked. Hot! He pours her a drink, lights some candles, and takes her for a ride (pun intended) on his motorcycle when Mea is still not sure. This is an elegant lawyeress, and he must act with integrity. It paid off because soon after that, Mea is not only completely down, but she’s also game to let Zyair paint all over her.

When it concerns his posterior, Rhodes is less bashful. He also doesn’t need the glistening metallic paint that cascades down his body; he’s already an exquisite piece of art. His dedication to his workout routine is evident, as he does not miss a single day. I can feel the force of those thrusts!

In order to massage the oils into Mea’s skin, Zyair uses cups of red, blue, and gold paint. Scrubbing paint all over him in return, she offers him her best. Also, she is quite careful to get the buttocks. After that, they started fighting. Perry uses clever camera angles to shield Rowland’s modesty, which he does with a combination of meticulous placement and strategically placed golden paint.

Still, I have no idea what Rhodes and Rowland were up against in terms of post-shoot cleanup. It seems like that paint managed to go into some really deep cracks.

Perry said in an interview for the Mea Culpa press notes that Rowland had some say in the decision to have the sex scene covered in paint. (The film’s Rowland was also one of its producers.) “For instance, she would say things like, ‘Let’s do something in a sex scene that’s never been done before on camera, especially for us as black people.'” Perry explained. Thus, I asked myself, “What is that?” It’s all done by us. However, we developed this fantastic concept. I am incredibly impressed by her accomplishments.
