Threads users had a persistent loading symbol that prevented them from viewing their feeds. It appears that apps that rely on Facebook for login are currently unable to do so. Meta didn’t respond right away to a request for comment.

The Meta admin center and the WhatsApp business API are among the essential services affected by “major disruptions,” according to the company’s public help page. However, Facebook Login is classified as “unknown.”
